MASS UPDATE - Please note that we are now certified by the Archdiocese of Chicago to open our church for Sunday and weekday Masses. Beginning on July 4, there will be a 4:30p.m. Mass every Saturday and beginning on July 5, there will be a 10a.m. Mass every Sunday. In order to be able to attend Mass, you will need to register. We currently have a limit of 45 people who can attend either Mass. Go to our home page at www.stgregory.net.  On the far right side you will see a link that says MASS RESERVATIONS SIGN UP. Click on the link and follow the instructions. Further information about what to expect when you come to Mass and how to register can be found under the ABOUT US pull down menu on our home page. Clink on it and then on the PARISH NEWS link. We will continue to livestream the 10a.m. Mass every Sunday. To access our livestreamed Mass go to https://www.facebook.com/stgregschicago. If you are not able to watch it live, it will be downloaded onto our Facebook page immediately after the Mass is over for viewing at a later time.

Eucharistic Ministry

Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Communion, the Body and Blood of Christ, at Mass. They may also assist in bringing Communion to the sick and homebound throughout the week. Any active parishioner may be trained to be a Eucharistic Minister after having received the sacrament of Confirmation. Please contact Fr. Brian Fischer at the Parish Center if you would like to be a Eucharistic Minister. All Eucharistic Ministers are reminded to dress appropriately when distributing Communion in order to give the proper reverence and respect to God.

Lectors

Lectors are those ministers who proclaim the word of God contained in the scriptures in the Catholic liturgy. This ministry demands a variety of skills and gifts so that God's voice can be effectively heard in the proclamation of the scripture readings. Lectors at St. Gregory's also offer the petitions or intercessions during the Prayer of the Faithful at Mass. If you would like to volunteer or receive training as a lector, please contact Fr. Brian Fischer at the Parish Center. All Lectors are reminded to dress appropriately when  proclaiming the Word of God in order to give the proper reverence and respect to God.

Greeters

Greeters are those ministers who greet and welcome everyone who comes to Church, especially newcomers and visitors to St. Gregory the Great Church. They are available to respond to questions or suggestions that people might have. They usually serve at one weekend Mass per month.
