CHRISTIFIDELES AWARD OCTOBER 13, 2019 - THE SIAPNO FAMILY

Meet the Siapno family - from left to right - Joseph, Kristine, Lauren, Riza and Alex. They are the recepients of the 2019 Archdiocese of Chicago Christifideles Award which honors individuals who have demonstrated by participation in parish life the personal and ministerial renewal called for by the Papal Exhortation, Christifideles Laici, calling the laity to the vocation of responsibility for the Church's life springing from the gift and mission of their baptism. The Siapno family is one of our parish treasures. Alex and Riza and their three children – Kristine, Joseph and Lauren have been actively involved in the life of our Parish in many different ways. Different members of their family have served as an usher, a Eucharistic minister, a lector, an altar server, a teacher in our Saturday School of Religion program, a Parish Center receptionist, as officers and leaders of the Filipinos of St. Gregory which include helping to organize Simbang Gabi, Santa Cruzan and our Parish picnic, a member of the Finance Council, organizers and facilitators our Thanksgiving Dinner Dance and our Chicago Bear viewing party. As a family, they have always been willing to help promote in any way possible the mission and the ministry of our parish with their time, talent and treasure. They have been a great blessing to our parish.
